1. Digitization of all citizen-oriented services, enhance smart city concept. A citizen should get all the government related services without going out of his home. All the documents must be stored in digital format and even a person who is not proficient in English should be able to use these services.

2. Our urban centers are a mess in terms of road quality/construction, cleanliness, traffic sense. Empowerment and monitoring of local municipalities, so that road quality can be improved. In many of the towns, we don’t have proper pavements for walking and pedestrians face great deal of danger while walking. We must improve a lot in the pedestrian safety measures. I will work with local bodies to improve the situation.

3. We have a lot of distress in the farming community as of now, which could be result of our overly dependence on weather. Still we need to increase the incomes of our farmers. There are many middle men in between when the food products move from the farms to the kitchens. To improve the incomes of the farmers, there could be action on multi fronts- A) make more cold-storage capacity available to the farmers with scientifically techniques to keep food items for longer time B) Move the farmers from low value produces such as grains to high value produces such as cotton etc C) Find ways to cut down middle men, where farmers could reach the end customer through innovative technology driven market concepts.

4) We have a huge pollution problem in India. Especially the plastic pollution and Air pollution could be our Achilles hill when we think about progress. I will try to ban single use plastic in my constituency entirely and urge people to use eco friendly bags, which could also boost local income of the tribals in the constituency. The major contribution of air pollution are the vehicles, and vehicles pollute more when they are idle in  traffic jams. As per my point number 2, if the traffic flow is streamlined in urban centers, then most of the Air pollution area can be reduced. This will also help people spending less time on road, consequently more time in productive activities.

5) The overall hygiene level among the common people is low as compared to other countries that I have visited and experienced. I can not attribute this lower hygiene level to the income of the people, rather its more of common mindset. The basic hygiene level does not cost much and we already there are many of the schemes run by municipal bodies, state and central govt to promote cleanliness. I will make the best use of available machinery to drive home the concept of cleanliness all around my constituency. We need to improve on the “swachhata” a lot.

6) We have a lot of hatred towards each other, even though I hear “ek bharat- shreshth bharat” slogans a lot, but on ground level there are lynchings, crimes based on caste/religion etc. This pains me a lot and I believe we need to trust other people living in one country. We need to produce a lot more cultural materials- videos, movies, plays which promote respect among all people. We take pride in diversity of our country, but on the ground level there is a lot of hatred, which should not be there. We can definitely have a bit of more “sense of humor” and not get offended easily.
